Women in reflection or marital breakup.

THE OBJECTIVE?

Offer these women a space to express what they are living and to equip them to better cope with the process of adjustment following marital breakdown. This Irenas Bookkeeping Services Sydney is based on the eight stages of Jean Monbourquette’s grief, but it has been adapted to the particularities of the grief that is experienced following family break-up.

HOW IT WORKS ?

This program consists of eight weekly workshops of three hours each.

Each of the workshops includes a period of exchange and a period of information on the stages of post-rupture grief.

FOR WHO ?

Fathers and stepfathers in a family transition situation (breakdown and recomposition).

THE OBJECTIVE?

Offer these men a space to express what they live and to equip them to better live the process of adaptation following the breakdown or family recomposition.

WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?

  • To take my life in hand

This theme includes the process of post-rupture bereavement;

The emotions of shame – guilt – anger and helplessness that pervade all spheres of life;

Strategies to facilitate adaptation to this new reality of life.

  • Be a father and a landmark for my child

This theme addresses the definition of parental reality according to whether one is a father or mother;

The functions of the parent role;

The father / child relationship vs. the needs of the child

The needs of a family child in separation.

  • At the father / father-in-law

This theme addresses the effects of separation in children;

The importance of maintaining parenthood beyond separation;

The exercise of co-parenting after the breakup;

Rivalries father / father-in-law source of anxiety for the child.

HOW IT WORKS ?

Three interrelated meetings by the reality of the fathers in rupture. Each theme is covered in a 3 hour meeting and comes back monthly.

Support for children 6 to 12 years old. (5 meetings)

FOR WHO ?

Children from 6 to 12 years old who have difficulty adjusting to family breakdown or recomposition.

THE OBJECTIVE?

Give children a space to express what they live and to equip them to better cope with the process of adaptation following family break-up and family recomposition. This program is designed with games, a video, exchanges, mini-skits, to integrate the information transmitted during the meetings.

WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?

  • Emotions: knowing how to recognize and naming them
  • Means to express emotions in an appropriate way
  • Conflict of loyalty
  • Conflict resolution
  • Distinction between needs and desires
  • Basic concepts to communicate clearly what the emotions are we live and make requests

HOW IT WORKS ?

This program consists of five weekly workshops of two hours each. The workshops are done in the morning and as far as possible at the beginning of the week during school time. Schools are aware of this sydney couples program and do not obstruct children’s participation in such a workshop. It is the parents who must inform the school and transport the children before and after the group
